Making 'More' a Reality - and Elevating the Driving Experience

Elevating the Driving Experience

From advanced infotainment to storage for event data recording to HD mapping – today’s drivers expect more from their automotive systems – and we’re making it possible. We just debuted the industry’s first1 512 gigabyte (GB) Automotive Universal Flash Storage2 (UFS) – opening the door to the advanced systems and applications drivers demand.

Why UFS, you ask? It’s the best memory solution available that combines the high performance, power efficiency, and small package size that mobile devices and related applications demand. It has a number of advantages over e-MMC3, especially in boosting performance – and, in fact, UFS is where the managed flash embedded market is moving in general.

Our Automotive UFS supports a wide temperature range (-40°C to +105°C), meets AEC-Q1004 Grade 2 requirements and offers the extended reliability required by various automotive applications. The 512GB device joins KIOXIA’s existing lineup of Automotive UFS, which includes capacities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

In every mention of a KIOXIA product: Product density is identified based on the density of memory chip(s) within the Product, not the amount of memory capacity available for data storage by the end user. Consumer-usable capacity will be less due to overhead data areas, formatting, bad blocks, and other constraints, and may also vary based on the host device and application.
