In the NVMe™ SSD space, performance and latency are the most highlighted features, and for good reason – these are the attributes that next-gen use cases demand. At KIOXIA, we’re especially proud of the fact that our CM7 Series NVMe SSDs deliver blazing fast speeds of up to 14 gigabytes per second (GB/s) of sequential read and up to 600,000 I/Os random write performance.
Built on a trusted enterprise platform, KIOXIA CM7 Series NVMe SSDs were made for the most demanding enterprise and data center environments. They support PCIe® 5.0 technology, T10 PI, SR-IOV, 2.5” and EDSFF E3.S form factors and much more – essential enabling technologies to allow OEM customers to deliver top performance to end users.
But don’t just take our word for it. Third party review sites agree that KIOXIA CM7 Series NVMe SSDs are winners!
In Their Own Words
TweakTown
TweakTown reviewed a provided 3.2TB CM7-V NVMe SSD, and they found the drive to be very impressive. Given this was the first PCIe 5.0 SSD reviewed, TweakTown found “it offers by far the most performance we’ve experienced to date.” TweakTown performed various bench level basic and synthetic workloads over various queue depths and IO sizes. Charted next to previously tested NVMe drives, CM7 shines in its ability to deliver impressive results. At the time of writing, TweakTown was so impressed with the KIOXIA CM7-V 3.2TB NVMe SSD, that it received a Must Have Tweak Town Editor’s Choice Award. See what more TweakTown had to say in their review here.
StorageReview
StorageReview notes that the CM7 is a significant step forward in enterprise SSD technology as one of the first enterprise-grade PCIe 5.0 SSDs to hit the market. StorageReview found the CM7 provided impressive results and was able to handle the toughest applications, including database, VDI, and other mixed and diverse workloads. They further go on to note that the CM7 Series NVMe SSD, based on their own analysis, provides a compelling choice for anyone who needs the cutting edge in enterprise PCIe 5.0 storage. ServeTheHome
ServeTheHome did their own extensive testing of the 3.2TB CM7-V NVMe SSD, including bench level CrystalDiskMark and ATTO Disk Benchmark tests, along with many synthetic server and workstation workloads. They noted CM7 PCIe 5.0 saturating speeds of 14 gigabytes per second was “crazy” and “the performance of the KIOXIA CM7 is really strong.” These results, and many more on multiple CPU platforms, can be read in full here.
Here at KIOXIA, we set out to design and create an amazing enterprise drive, and our vision is resonating with reviewers. The KIOXIA CM7 Series NVMe SSD has proven itself as a top performer – and an excellent choice for those mission critical workloads and applications. Expect this pedigree of excellence to continue in the years to come!
FOOTNOTES:
Definition of capacity: KIOXIA Corporation defines a megabyte (MB) as 1,000,000 bytes, a gigabyte (GB) as 1,000,000,000 bytes and a terabyte (TB) as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. A computer operating system, however, reports storage capacity using powers of 2 for the definition of 1GB = 2^30 bytes = 1,073,741,824 bytes and 1TB = 2^40 bytes = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes and therefore shows less storage capacity. Available storage capacity (including examples of various media files) will vary based on file size, formatting, settings, software and operating system, and/or pre-installed software applications, or media content. Actual formatted capacity may vary.
Read and write speed may vary depending on various factors such as host devices, software (drivers, OS etc.), and read/write conditions.
