Another Flash Memory Summit has come and gone – the crowd was at capacity, the show floor was set ablaze with new storage innovations, and a great time was had by all. While we’re exceptionally proud of the keynote we gave, award we won and products we debuted – we came away from our time at this year’s FMS most excited by the role that we are playing in helping our customers and partners take ownership of their future.
How are we doing this? One word: SCALE. Our leading-edge memory technologies and SSD products form the ideal foundation today for the innovative platforms and modern workloads that tomorrow will bring. It’s common knowledge that massive amounts of data are being created at a pace that is accelerating every day, and that it has become increasingly challenging for customers to capture, process, and leverage these dynamic workloads. The ability to manage and monetize this data is key, and calls for architectures that utilize SSD-enabled storage. We’re putting our ability to scale – scale performance, scale density, scale production capacity, and scale security – into the hands of those who need it most: businesses whose growth relies on data. Thanks to the investments we have made in our technologies and partnerships, our customers can rest assured that they are ready to tackle the workloads of the future. With Toshiba Memory, they can own their challenges, own their data – and own tomorrow.
FMS provided the ideal setting to drive this point home. From our KumoScale™ shared accelerated storage software solution to 96-layer QLC BiCS FLASH™ 3D flash memory and a wide range of client, enterprise and data center SSDs, we highlighted all of the many ways in which Toshiba stands ready with flash memory technology that meets the demands of today’s applications – as well as those that haven’t even been invented yet.
