PCIe 4.0 NVMe Enterprise SSDs: Next-Level Storage Performance

PCIe 4.0 NVMe Enterprise SSDs

The transition from PCIe® Gen3 to Gen4 is underway – and KIOXIA is more than ready. It’s no secret that we’re leading the charge when it comes to ushering in the new interface (we were the first company to publicly demonstrate PCIe 4.0 SSDs), and we’re committed to ensuring that enterprises and data centers can take full advantage of the high speeds Gen4 brings to the table.

With this in mind, we have a couple of new milestones to share:

We recently announced that our lineup of PCIe 4.0-based NVMeTM enterprise SSDs has achieved PCI-SIG® compliance for PCIe 4.0 and University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) certification for NVMe technology.

Demonstrating just how hard we’re pushing the limits of flash storage performance, we were at the recent Microsoft Ignite to show our CM6 Series running on a Microsoft Azure HCI platform with Quanta Cloud Technologies – and enabling 2x performance gains over a PCIe 3.0 solution. The CM6 Series pushed SSD sequential read performance to over 55 gigabytes per second (GB/s) across eight drives – that’s nearly 7GB/s per SSD!

The PCIe 4.0 standard has been almost nine years in the making – and its time is now. Need more details about how KIOXIA is leading the way for storage providers? Click here: https://bit.ly/2QvSgrC.
